Well-Educated

At Faith Lutheran School, we believe that living a life of purpose naturally leads to a pursuit of excellence. This foundational principle is vividly lived out in our classrooms, where God’s purpose for our teachers and students transforms into a profound desire for excellence in everything we do.

Dr. Lorinda Sankey of Concordia University, Nebraska, observes, “When teachers and students in Lutheran schools understand that God has a purpose for them, they respond with a desire to work toward excellence. I have witnessed this desire for excellence in Lutheran school classrooms. Teachers challenge students to read and write pieces that they may not have read or written on their own. Teachers challenge students to explore concepts of mathematics, to launch into individual and group projects, to make choices about their learning, to serve in the community, to commit themselves to learning. The results of this desire for excellence are external with measurable concrete outcomes to show for the work and internal with growth of character and values.”

But does excellence really matter? Consider your expectations of service and quality in everyday experiences. Just as we seek excellence in those areas, at Faith Lutheran School, we strive for nothing less in education. Our mission is rooted in preparing students to be Christ-like, well-educated, and service-minded, reflecting the great love God has for us through Jesus Christ.

C.F.W. Walther, the first president of the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod, envisioned our schools as beacons of academic excellence and Christ-centered learning. He saw the purpose of having world-class academics to prepare students for lives of purpose throughout society and in government.

Our approach to education is holistic, integrating academic standards with our Christian faith, thus preparing students for a life of purpose and excellence. Our educators lead by example, living out the values of excellence in their teaching and interactions to foster a love for discovery and growth in our students.
