Shop Class Instructor
With a degree in Industrial Education and a knack for nailing the fundamentals, Tim Burr has been crafting futures at Hourglass Christian School for several years. A seasoned carpenter before stepping into the classroom, Tim knows how to build a curriculum that’s both hands-on and intellectually engaging. For him, shop class isn’t just about saws and screws; it’s a practical way to teach problem-solving, teamwork, and the value of hard work.
His teaching style is far from wooden, incorporating real-world projects, safety drills, and even community service builds. As the leader of the school’s DIY Club, he’s always loaded with opportunities for students to hammer out their skills.
Outside of school, Tim enjoys hiking, woodworking, and spending quality time with his family. His blend of faith, practical wisdom, and educational skill makes him a cornerstone in the HCS community.
