Prepare Your Preschooler
October 2025 Vision Letter
As summer gives way to fall, I’ve been catching up on all the outdoor projects that I put off during the hot summer months. Maybe you can relate. I’ve been cleaning gutters, repairing the deck, and soon I’ll have the heat pump checked before the cooler weather sets in. I’ll also put down fall fertilizer to prepare the yard for winter. You might have a similar checklist—or maybe a longer one! We prepare our homes so they’re ready for the new season ahead.
In the same way, God has given parents the important task of preparing their children for life. Parenting is not an easy job. We love our children and want the very best for them, but helping them grow into their potential takes hard work, perseverance, and patience. Still, it’s one of the most important callings we have—and you can do it.
You are the first authority figure in your child’s life. That’s why when God gives His commandments, He says, “Honor your father and your mother.” Authority begins in the family and extends outward from there.
As a parent, your job is to prepare your children for their God-given purpose. That preparation includes caring for their physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Physically, you provide food, clothing, shelter, and opportunities for activity. Emotionally, you give love, stability, and friendship. Spiritually, you lead them to worship, read Scripture, and practice faith at home. All of these help your child thrive.
At Faith Lutheran School, we know how much you care about your child’s future. Our mission is to partner with you as you raise your child to flourish—not just in academics, but in life and in faith. When you need encouragement, support, or a community to come alongside you, we are here. We want the same thing you do: to see your child grow into the person God created them to be.
If you’d like to learn more about how we can partner with you, we’d love to invite you for a school visit. You can see a school day in action, talk with a member of our leadership team, and explore whether our school is the right fit for your family.
Our world needs parents who are invested in the lives of their children. It isn’t always easy—but it is eternally significant. Keep going. Trust God to give you the strength and guidance you need.
